Prime University is a privately owned university that is located in Abuja. The institution is a multi-campus institution whereby it operates its main campus and city polytechnic campus.
Prime University’s main campus is located in the old site of the defunct Capital Science Academy, Gaube District, Kuje Area Council, while its city campus is located close to Nizamiye Hospital, Life Camp, Abuja.
Prime University is not a university that was birthed out of a mirage, but it is an existing part of educational institutions in Nigeria and Africa that is deeply entrenched, and some of the institutions Prime University came from are Capital Science Academy, Nigeria-Ghana International College, and Aviation City International School with strategic support from Al-Noor International Academy.
Prime University was established in 2023 following National Universities Commission (NUC) approval and also after being granted permission from the Federal Government of Nigeria to operate as a university in Nigeria.

Admission Requirement
UTME Admission Requirements
• Possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) from WAEC, NECO, or an equivalent examination.
• Obtain at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.
• Score a minimum of 200 in the relevant subjects in the UTME (JAMB).
Direct Entry Requirements
• Meet the basic O-Level requirements for UTME admission.
• Possess at least two (2) A’ Level passes in relevant subjects, or an NCE or OND with at least a credit level, or a first degree with a minimum of second class lower in a relevant field.
• Have credit passes in English language and mathematics.
• Participate in the university’s screening exercise before admission is granted.
• Direct Entry admission is considered only after two years from the commencement of academic activities at the university.
Remedial Admission Requirements
• Be a secondary school graduate seeking to remedy deficiencies in WAEC, NECO, JAMB, or NABTEB.
• Have at least four (4) credit passes in a secondary school leaving examination.
Transfer Admission Requirements
• Meet all admission requirements for either UTME or direct entry.
• Present an official academic transcript from the previous university.
• Have a satisfactory record of good character and academic performance.
• Obtain the recommendation of the appropriate department and faculty, subject to approval by the university senate.
