The National Open University Nigeria,, popularly known as NOUN is a public open online university that is located in Abuja, Nigeria.
NOUN, unlike other public universities in Nigeria, conducts most of its academic activities, providing academic and public research not only excluded for the institution but also for public use.
NOUN was established in 1983 during the military government, taking its operation to 1984, just a year after its establishment, before the university was closed by the federal government; it was reopened by General Olusegun Obasanjo.
NOUN is one of a kind in Nigeria and even across West African countries, which is notable for the quality and excellence that came out of this open learning university. NOUN is not exclusive to only Nigerians, but it can also be attended by foreign students.
The misconception that NOUN is not a great place to study should be trashed away based on evidence they have one of the best lecturers and even the best teaching materials and also incorporate the fact that they have a physical center, and they do conduct physical examinations when you progress in level.
Whether you want to apply for NOUN courses or you are returning students of the institution, it should be well illustrated that you have to know all the details about the courses and the school paid for all courses at this open university, and that is why we will touch all details pertaining to these inside this article.
