Federal College of Education Pankshin is a public federal owned college of Education that is located in Pankshin,Plateau state. The institution was established in 1974 and it is currently under the Administration of vice Chancellor Christiana Zumyil.
Federal College of Education is now currently named federal University of Education Pankshin after its upgrade from college of Education to University of Education.
Federal College of Education Pankshin now Federal University of Education was Established as Federal Advanced Teachers College at a temporary site in Mararaba Pushit and moved to its permanent site in 1977 in the current location of Pankshin.
In 1991 the Federal College of Education Pankshin was upgraded from its status of Federal Advanced Teachers College to federal college of Education and in 1998 it secured an affliation with University of Jos(UNIJOS) .
In 2023 the federal College of Education Pankshin entered a new level of elevation when the institution was fully upgraded from college of Education to University Status granting the institution to offer degree programmes and also award its certificate.
